The Visual Learning Foundation is a non-profit making registered Charity established in 1994. It strives to give children access to high quality art experience in their formative years of education. It has an art studio base in a primary school. It is independent and trades art input into the school for accommodation.
VLF has an established termly course programme for teachers and assistants from schools and early years settings. It also takes course to LEAs.
INSET DAYS AND CONSULTANCY for whole school staffs at the VLF and throughout London.
PGCE, NQT COURSES, VLF regularly contributes to programme at the Institute of Education.
COURSES FOR LONDON GIFTED AND TALENTED Spring 2006 disseminated after school art class model in a series of day courses for London teachers from 120 schools in partnership with London Gifted and Talented and major London Museums.

Residencies in schools and with classes of children at VLF base
24 children with aptitude in art (aged 8 -13) from local schools attend special weekly art class at VLF
Courses for teachers about using visits and collections with children to stimulate art making. British Museum, V & A, Imperial War Museum, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Ashmoleum Museum Oxford, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and many provincial museums. Education programmes for several hundred children at RBG Kew and BM. Continuing programme of art & design courses in partnership with the British Museum 2008 - 2009
Book “Masquerade” a cross-cultural resource exploring African and European traditions. Arts Council England 1998.
Art Store 1. Series of 5 television programmes made by VLF for C4 television. Nominated for RTS award.2001.
Ways of Introducing Children to Japanese Art. To be published.
RBG KEW Fans, Screens and Neon Lights – Ways of introducing children to Japanese Art and culture
Core education event Japan 2001. 11,000 visitors. Project awarded top award at the Japan Festival awards.

RECENT SPECIAL PROJECTS:
TALENTED LONDON Summer School for 200 students and training days for 40 teachers in partnership with London G &T at Chelsea School of Art. July/ August ‘ 06. Summer 2007 new programme at Chelsea, which included KS3.
VLF in partnership with London Gifted & Talented 2006 – 2008 programme of workshop days for 600 children and 120 teachers held at VLF. KS2 & KS3.
